Size difference

I have been noticing that one of my babies has been growing much faster than the others. I happened to check on them earlier and found them sleeping together so got this great picture.

They are all 11 weeks old! The big one weighs 26grams, the middle one weighs 15grams and the bottom one (which is the big one's clutchmate) weighs 16 grams. I always feed them seperately so its not an issue of the bigger one taking the others food. They all eat well. I am curious to see if they end up more or less the same size or if the one will always be larger! I am keeping these 3 so will let you know!

That's quite the difference. It'll be interesting to see what the other breeders have to say.

wow that is sizable difference.. LOL

it just happens that way sometimes.. i have some that grow really fast and then plateau off and then some that are late bloomers and start hulking up when the others plateau..

were any of the parents giants? we have a lot giants and we see this pretty often when one of the siblings starts growing exponentially..

Nope, none of the parents are giants. Like you said, maybe they will end up much the same size. It will be interesting to see! :main_yes: BTW, is a Leo a giant purely because of its weight or is it a genetic?

Giantism is a genetic mutation discovered by Ron Tremper back in 1999.
