Hi i was wondering how come my gecko has such a tiny tail ? all the geckos on here have nice fat ones. She eats about 6 crickets and 3 meal worms a week. Dose anyone know what would cause this ?

Yah, they need lotsa food. Rin can eat a good five crickets a day though I don't usually give her that much lol. I leave mealies in the tank at all times in case she gets hungry enough to actually eat them (though at this point I think she'd rather starve lol) and have been giving her about five crickets every other day. So you DEFINITELY should be feeding more.

I feed mine 3-4 super worms at least 3 times a week. If I were you I would be giving yours 6 crickets 3-4 times a week or the same amount for meal worms.

I would feed her more but she usually only eats like 2 crickets at the most in one sitting. Then the next morning i take out the loose crickets so the don't bother her. And it takes her like a week to eat the meal worms.

Since she is on a cricket diet she could have picked up an internal parasite. Crickets are notorious parasite carriers. I would take a fecal in to the vert to be checked and cleared. If it's not a parasite then there's some other issue bringing her appetite down... if you could copy/paste and fill out the care questionaire that is in the health section (its a sticky) into this thread, then we would have all the info on your set upand husbandry to see if there's anything else taht could eb contributing to the lack of appetite/eating.

I called around and most of the vets in the area dont really want to deal with reptiles. They told me to go to the petstore to get advice but most people there don't know much. Latley when she poops its really runny. Im wondering should i switch to a different food other than crickets ? im thinking of trying super worms. Dose anyone have luck with them ? are they hard to keep ?
