skinny tail ** pictures added**

I have a leopard gecko that is about 2 years old.. I've had her for about 6 months..her tail is very skinny as well as the rest of her body.. I've tried to feed her meal worms, crickets and calcium powder but she won't eat.. Can anyone help me get her healthy again? Thanks

get a very small syringe and mash up some bugs with a tiny bit of water suck it up in the syringe and force feed! also check her mouth for possible infections or health problems.

Do you feed them separately? If you don't I would. She could be getting bullied by the other two. On that same note I would pull her from the others just in case she has something they can catch. Either way, you can monitor her food intake and check her poop more accurately if she is in a separate enclosure. Also, like others have suggested, photos would help.

males and females should be house separately as males can reach sexual maturity earlier and try to mate with females before they are old enough or at an appropriate weight which can be very bad for the females.

I a big believer in reptile do best alone. Many times one female will bully another over food so eventually the one being bullied will be afraid to eat. I have a male that when cage with a female takes almost no food of any kind even when not mating. He has been alone for a year and finally looks like a giant he has gained mpore than thirty grams

I've seen thinner but she's pretty bad. I also have a hard time catching my geckos mid-shed. They tend to get theirs off pretty quick, usually while I'm asleep, so seeing her with some left on makes me thin she's probably a bit lethargic as well. There might be something going on besides being bullied so I would take her to the vet ASAP. In the meantime I would keep an eagle eye on her weight - you can purchase an $9 scale on amazon to do so. If she loses another gram or so I think she might be in serious danger if she's not already.

Iv herd you can mix pumpkin purée with the bug mix but personally i just use the bug and vitamins crush with nothing else except a tiny bit of water.

you need to remove that head piece if you havnt already, just incase it causes an eye problem.
really needs to see a vet though. you need to know whether its contagious to the others if nothing else.

Geckos often tend to "look fine" for a long while after they start getting sick. It takes weeks, if not months, for them to deplete the resources stored in their tail and once their tail starts to thin out they can go downhill quickly. If they were mine I would check with a vet to ensure that what the one has couldn't have spread to the others.

Best of luck on helping her recover! Keep us posted!
