Hi all
today i purchase some slate to use as a substrate for my viv
the problem is that my tank temp is only 25 C, without spot lamp
and around 28-30 with
the tiles are 300mm square and 10 mm thick
perhaps if i broke them and used sand as a grout making more of a mosaic type pattern?
my mat is ultra-therm 30 watt
should i purchase a higher wattage of mat?
i also bought some adhesive backed stone effect floor tiles very thin, and the adhesive shouldn't melt until around 100C + the temp for them is around 30C just on the mat, but i do prefer the real slate
also i know that slate is porous would i need to treat/seal it with anything?
