A female who gave a first clutch "slug" it must be represented at a male ?
What are owed "slug" ?
How long can there be between two clutches of the same female ?

Thank you

I don't understand your first two questions..

But my females also average about 2-3 weeks. Our first year breeder was laying every 4 weeks or so, but her last clutch came a week earlier than usual. Another female lays every 13-14 days, scripture.

Thanks for informations, my first questions are :
Some females have laid eggs "slugs" ( first year's clutch ).

Do I have to put a male with her ? Or wait for the second clutch ?
What is the origin (the cause) "slugs"?

Well I have 1 breeding group that are all 1st year breeders. 3 females and 1 male. I have now had 6 clutchs of slugs from this group so far. Nancy ( Tangerine Gecko) keeps telling me to just hang in there. So maybe its just something that happens to 1st year breeders. It was enough to make me think my male was shooting blanks lol.

SSE i would wait, first time breeding female and only her second clutch wait don't stress her out. John I would reintroduce ,if the female is receptive. if i read your post right 6 clutches seems to me like the earth didn't move for your Lady Leos and your Casanova needs a do over..good luck guys

Six clutches of 'slugs' sound like a lot to me. Is it only one male and one female? Are they housed together all the time? What are the ages and weights of the geckos?

IMO, laying slugs is just as demanding on a female's body as laying fertile eggs. Assuming the breeders are old/large enough to breed, I would repeat the breeding after the 3rd clutch of infertile eggs.

I have my male housed by himself now. I am going to reintroduce in a few weeks after the girls get their weights back up again. I have a bunch of eggs due to start hatching any day now so I reconfigured my rack and a shelving unit I have. So now I have plenty of room again. I have anouther group I am seperating the male from. That is just because I want my females to get their weight back up as well. All eggs from that group have been fertile.
