Went into the snake room to discover our big girl, Sylvia, had produced another litter of slugs.:main_thumbsdown:
Looks like there was one stillbirth, though.
Now we know she CAN produce babies. The big question is will she? ... EVER?!

This is SO frustrating!

Shes a leetle cranky right now. She won't let us in her tank at all.
I have never heard a boa hiss that loud before.
Kinda terrifying, actually.

Sorry to hear your slugged out, those are the breaks with Boas! How long was the male with her? Was it the same male you used last time?

Final count

Final count: 37 slugs, 1 still birth :(

I know its morbid to show, but this baby had some of the most incredible markings.

Preemies or deformed babies usually do have some strange patterns due to their less than full term or perfect development.

So, considering the head is shaped kinda "odd," this is more than likely a preemie, then, right?
I had heard, quite a while back (but it was from an unreliable source) that babies get their patterning and then their head structure within the last 1-2 weeks. Is this true?
