Ok I just got my first small Leo last weds and this is all new to me so I have some questions and hopefully you experienced people can help me out.
She is I'd say a month and almost 2 weeks old probably 10-15 grams and 4-5 inches long she won't stay still for me to measure her.
How often do the little ones shed? She shed last Friday night and she's starting to get pale again already.
How many crickets do the little ones normally eat? She has ate everyday for since I got her. The crickets are 1/2 inch or a little smaller. She ate 10 yesterday 4 today and sat she ate 2, the other days she ate 6 crickets.
I can notice her looking bigger in the belly area and looks like she is getting longer. Also how long did it take for your Leo to get comfy and not from you and hoe do you introduce yourself to them?
She use to take off and run as soon as she saw me. I put my hand in her tank every other day and just sit my hand there. I don't try to touch her at first. 3 days ago I stuck my hand in her tank and she walked onto my hand, I didn't move at all or try to pick her up. She stayed there for about 20 seconds then she took off running.
She doesn't run from me anymore and now she is coming out during the day time and walking around and even laying down in the middle of the tank. I had to put some wet papertowel in her hide today because she looks like she is gonna shed. I touched her on the side and she didn't move so I kinda pet her down her side and she let me do it. I only pet her once and put her hide back and left her alone.
Seems like she's getting use to me now, I'm really enjoying owning my little Leo, watching her grow and building a friendship with her.
I keep temps at 92-96 hot side so she's probably digesting her food quick and eating alot. Please fill me in on some info if you guys can thanks..
