Could a leo go through withdrawl if the house before hand had smokers? Mine isn't eating and it has been 4 weeks since I had gotten her. I had gotten her from my friend whose mother smokes. I have tried different foods and checked the temps over and over again. The leo was eating before I got her, but the very next day she wouldn't eat. I know that going one day is normal but she has gone 4 weeks in which time she has eaten 1 cricket. She is about four years old. So can they go through withdrawl from secondhand smoke?

He may still be trying to adjust to it's new surroundings. It's kinda odd to last 4 weeks but it's not unheard of. I'm not sure if it's too late but I have heard of a trick that VMS Herps does. Place card board or something similar on all four sides of the cage. At the beginning of each week take one side off, do this until all sides are uncovered. Also, keep all interaction to a minimum, meaning feeding and cleaning. So DO NOT handle it.

When I lived at home there were 3 smokers and I was not one of them. None of my animals acted any differently after I moved.

mine acted weird like that too for a while, i would suggest adding another hide or two. i recently added a third hide and a few fake plants and you wouldnt believe the difference in him, its like night and day. also, dont keep the crix in the enclosure all the time. take them out after about 2-3 hours, as they can bite at the gecko, which further stresses it out.
