I posted this guy`s eyes in the show off your Leos section before, when I noticed something strange. I never really noticed, until looking at this pic that on the left side of the picture, it looks like there may be a partial snake eye going on, in just a small part of the eye.

When I look closely there is some purple/blue color on the right/top side, but it did not seem to be transparent at all like a Raptor/Snake Eye. I am also very sure this gecko is able to see as well as my others. So I don`t feel this is some type of detrimental trait, if it were something different, and able to be reproduced.:)

I did not plan to, but I suppose I can breed him to his mother(a snake eyed Raptor), just to see what happens, but I`de also like to hear from others, what they think.

Thanks

Yes, same Leo. Here are the pics that show the color, a little better (blurry pics, so not sure how that works lol). I had meant to post them too.

Thanks for your input.

I don't know if I'd consider it a raptor or not... we've had a few hatch out that had eyes like this at birth, but the "solid" red parts went away with time... this guy looks like he's grown enough that it should have faded by now... I hope someone has your answer because that would answer a few of my questions!

I hear you. I do consider the partial snake eyes, snake eyes, or fully solid eyes, Raptors. I would think the ones that change after hatching are the same, and if I`m not mistaken there have been some of those to come from Raptor X Raptor.

I have seen the "fade" too, our first Raptor had at least 3/4 of her eye solid, but she faded into a pretty much 50/50 snake eye. Yes, it would have happened by now, he is adult sized allready.
