Snake Eyes / Eclipse?

Hey, I have a question (what else is new :main_laugh? My enigma appears to have one snake eye, about 50% on his left eye, but the right eye is completely normal in appearance. Is this the actual snake eye trait, or is he just special? Also, I really want to breed eclipse super snow enigmas. Is it possible to breed eclipse from snake eyes, or are they completely different/unrelated traits? Thanks!

enigma eyes and eclipse eyes are different. If your gecko has snake eyes, partially filled/blackened(or red for albinos) eyes, then this would come from the eclipse gene or if its a blizzard then they have something similar to eclipse but thats a whole nother story.

So yes thats the eclipse gene. Yes you can breed eclipse from snake eyes because snake eyes are eclipse. It seems to be random when you breed the eclipse gene how much the eyes are filled in so luck of the draw if you get 100% filled.

The tricky part of breeding Super snow eclipse is that Super snows have completely darkened eyes as if they were solid eclipse eyes but in fact this comes from the Super snow morph. So its hard to tell if you have a Super snow eclipse of just a Super snow.

Oh, nice. I pretty much just want super snow enigmas with black eyes. I think the solid black eyes look amazing. So if I don't have to throw in the eclipse trait, then that is awesome!

yep here are some pics of SS enigmas. The regular SS enigma has black eyes and the SS bell enigma has red eyes.

Out of idle curiosity, what sort of a price tag does an SS Enigma usually fetch? I know my Mack Snow Enigma w/ the snake eye would earn a relatively nice price.

True. That person is also trying to sell their stock pretty quickly, so the price is lowered even further. I'll just check around the other classifieds to compare prices.
