SNAKE EYES?

hey guys/gals,
i was wondering if snake eyes were a recessive trait or just a mutation, i have read both, i am working on a project that would be really cool if i could get snake eyes in it.............thanks.......kyle

Snake Eyes in the Eclipse are recessive, but many gecko morphs can have snake eyes, or solid eyes that don't seem to be genetically inheritable, such as blizzards.

ok so snake eyes and solid eclipse eyes are dif. genes, so if i breed snake eye to snake eye i should get snake eye right, or would it just be a toss of the dice whether i get snake eye or full eclipse?

There is three eye traits and there precentage of iris black out.

True eclipse is a simple recessive trait often refered to as just eclipse.99% of the time esay to ID by the white washed nose.

False eclipse is a random trait the genetics are not under stud.The most common mroph to see this trait on is blizzards and snows.But it can crop up in any morph.Unlike true eclipse there's no white washed nose and false eclipse dosen't bunk up the valu of the leo.

Solid eye seen on super snows always 100% solid either black or red if albino.Super snow is the (HOMO) version of snow and the solid eye is fixed to the super snow form.

Snake eye just means not solid in both eclipse and false eclipse.Personally i hate the term snake eye as i see nothing snake eye about it.I'd prefer the term partial eclipse for a non solid eye eclipse type.

A (CO-DOMANANT) trait expressed in the super form being the super snow.
Solid eye.
