This movie looks really stupid. It is just making more people think that snakes are the worst thing on the planet and that if you leave your kids out side for longer then 5 min. they will get eatin!I wish people would forget about cats and dogs and move onto herps so that they would know that they are more afraid of you then you are of them

I haven't seen the previews, but every time I hear the title, it's quickly followed by a large roll of the eyes.

Next movies coming up:

Cats in a Tree
Dogs in a Swimming Pool

and the worst one yet...
Hamsters in a Cage (of death)

Snapshot of a movie exec office 2 years ago:

Exec: "Hey we need another scary movie! We hven't killed it yet"!
Low-level guy: "Hey people are afraid of snakes"
Exec: "That's not good enough! we already did anaconda!"
LLG: "We'll they are afraid of flying, we haven't done that for a while"
Exec: "Still not good enough! We need more!"
LLG: "<sarcasm>Well you could do something crazy like putting snakes on a plane</sarcasm>"
Exec: "Hey, we could do Snakes on a plane!"
LLG: "You're a genious... it will make millions! ... Millions! MWWAHAHAHA"

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's how it went down. Lots of back-patting later and there you go.

Also playing soon: "Thunderstorms with ghosts!", and "Driving in Rain!"

Yeah, its definitely gonna cause an uproar, but i will still probably see it.

I'm into those kind of movies, and if people become more afraid of snakes its their own choice. People are afraid of snakes, always will be that way... and yeah it sucks. But what ya gonna do? And yes title was lacking to say the least, very uncreative.

And i don't care what you say "Anaconda" ruled! The second one was trash compared to it!

Why are you guys even talking about wasting your money on this piece of crap that is only going to make people MORE afraid of snakes? If you just HAVE to see it, at least wait til it's a rental, or in the dollar theater.

I dont really think this movie will be making people more afraid of snakes. i mean really. nobody in the theatres is takeing the previews seriously. It always incites laughter, mockery, et cetera. Some people will always be afreaid of snakes, some will love them no mater whats on television. At work I have customers that bringin thier children to hold snakes, a cute little 6 year old girl is begging her mom for the red tailed boa that she holds on a weekly basis. its just how it is. Some lame movie isnt gonna make things better or worse.

Did anyone read the article in Reptiles Mag?
The film has gathered quite a cult following ever since it was optioned and then cancelled from production a few years back (right around the time of 9/11...just couldn't do a plane disaster movie around that time). So people heard about it and just latched on.
Apparently Samuel L. Jackson, who I love to death, he's just awesome, had a line in his contract that said that no real snakes were to be near him. In any case it's going to probably suck. They use a lot of snakes that are obviously not poisonous to represent ones that are...such as corn snakes...which I really doubt anybody is going to think they are poisonous.
I'd probably rent it later, but I'm not going to pay 7.50 for a ticket, just ain't worth it. Actually aren't tickets like 9 bucks now? I have no idea. But for anyone who is a reptile nut who knows his or her snakes, you'll probably start laughing out loud at how utterly idiotic the film is with the live snakes they use to represent these oh so dangerous poisonous reptiles...there's lots of CG though apparently...so many a little hope...

EXACTLY, another great example "Eight Legged Freaks". And besides i'm sure most people will realize its only a movie. I mean the only movie that really made people afraid of anything was "Jaws" and thats pretty much it. Can you guys think of any others? HMMM?

People think to much into things, and i don't really care lol, i'm gonna rent it when its available for my own enjoyment and thats all that matters. Phooey on whatever some one else says! LOL

Jaws never made me afraid of Great Whites...what made me afraid of them was when they caught one right off the Cali coast in Monterey where I used to swim...
But, really nobody is going to have a fit over this flick unless they are already afraid of snakes...

I don't know, I hope it flops so the production companies will stop making crap movies like this.

There was a snake handler on Leno last night that had the snakes that were used in that movie. I don't know that it was ALL the snakes used, but it was pretty sad. He had a whole HANDFUL of milksnakes and corns. He also had ratsnakes, and a big ol' burm. The one (and only) hot he had there was an albino cobra (monocle I think). LAME

I think it might make a little money, but my feeling is it will become more of a cult hit like Rocky Horror, Priscilla, etc. I just don't see it being a phenomenal film really, but I could be very wrong. There's been films that looked like crap that made a lot of money. This could be one of them.
