I had this female on hold for while until today's expo here at Madison. I just bought her as a Snow Bell Enigma but I realized that she have some pigmentation like eclipse on her eyes. It was a bit difficult to get a picture but hopefully it can be noticed. I know that some enigmas will have some shadowing but this one have those pigmented areas very solid. Also I noticed that she doesn't have any others characteristics of eclipse like the white nose. Might be a home made Eclipse? I saw in that expo a reverse stripe Tremper with 50% eclipse, it was the first time that saw an eye solid from the middle to the rear and he didn't had a white nose.

It's not rare for MSBE's to have pigmented eyes. Kind of like the super snow, the genetic combination makes it happen but it's not a genetic Eclipse, just looks cool.

I see this with my bell enigmas too, it's a big part of why I have enigmas in the first place, they're beautiful! They remind me of amber, topaz, citrine, orange sapphires...beautiful little eyes!

Your new pickup is gorgeous! Good luck with her.:main_thumbsup:

Richard I also agree. The Enigma in general adds a lot of pigment to the eyes and when you add the Mack gene into it, things get interesting. I've hatched out a number of Mack Enigmas that didn't have any Eclipse gene in them or wasn't possible for them to express the Eclipse gene, but they had solid black eyes, just the Mack and Enigma gene working its magic. This does fade out over time though. Awesome pick up!
