All the confusion I'm about to write up could have been alleviated by paying more attention and keeping better records. I was in the middle of a move during this laying period and I did neither. I have learned my lesson.
I found this little critter in the incubator this morning and I'm perplexed.
A:
What do you think it is?
I also found these three in the incubator.
I was psyched with this Mack Super Snow Tremp Albino (below). What I'm not sure of is if it's also patternless. I guess I'll know in a few weeks. If it is patternless I will know it was the matching egg to the one above. The parent to this guy would have to be the SSA x (2 possible) Snow het tremp right?
B:
C:
D:
This would be a little easier if 4 eggs wouldn't have hatched at one time. If I knew what his direct egg pair was.
I have two breeding colonies. I'm quite sure he came from the first colony.
1.0 Super Snow Albino
0.1 Snow het albino (also his mom pic below)
0.1 Snow poss het albino (also sister - different mom... i think)
0.1 (sold as) Super Hypo Carrot Tail
0.1 Tangerine
0.1 Albino (sold as possible) het RAPTOR
Second colony:
1.0 Mack Snow het Tremp
0.1 Tremp Albino
I would have thought it was the het RAPTOR at first, but there wouldn't be a SSA with that pairing. That being said the SSA (B) may not be from the same mom because they hatched at the same time as the snow (C) and ?albino? (D).
I had 6 eggs last year from that het RAPTOR and none of them had the patternless look of the first baby up top. But the dad was a MSA not the SSA.
This is the Snow Het Tremp and I have been told she may have a "het patternless" spotting on her? Not sure if that's possible or not. She was purchased as a MS het Tremp.
I apologize for the confusing post and I would appreciate any help.
As soon as I find out what sex they are I guess I can make some breeding trial plans for next season. All temp sexed at 84.5*.
What are the possible babies from a MSSA x MS het tremp anyway?
Thanks!!
