I was pretty much resigned to the fact that our Mack Montanus female just wasn't going to ovulate at all this year. Checked her while cleaning tubs tonight and she surprisingly was ready to go. Just happened to have an Mack Afghan male that was ready as well. From intro to copulation, less than 3 minutes...

I've gotten a few nice hatchlings from a Montanus I got from Kelli last year, they are big hatchlings, congrats!

thanks man, and yeah it just works out like that sometimes. this girl was originally from Kelli as well. i was really excited to see her ovulating. now waiting is going to kill me. im really interested to see what the Fascio/Montanus cross will produce.

she's a big girl. 80 grams at time of breeding. he's no slouch himself though. he's put on about 20 grams in the last month alone.

You'll like what comes out, I've gotten a SS, twp nice hypo banded snows, a snow tremper , and what looks like a very reduced patterned SST from them. Oh did I mention I bred her to my Giant SS? ;) I'm interested in seeing what you produce out of them too! Good luck
