so new geckos, from a friend who didnt want them anymore....

hi everyone! first thread from my part but still reading pretty much what u all say.
so last night i went to see a friend in town that was getting rid of his geckos/equipement and trading them for an aquarium, which i was lucky add one for spare...
so i got 2 new geckos to add up to my 3 :p
only thing im wondering is their morphs... he bought them in a pet store as regular but they dont look like so... so maybe u guys can help me ID them..

Yeah hypo sounds like a good guess to me!

I would try to quarantine them in a different room from your existing geckos for 30-60 days to make sure they're 100% healthy :)

don't worry about the quarantine, since they were already together, i left them together in their tank, and my other females are twice their size so dont want them together in case a big girl get furious or something ;)

thx for the replies.. so both would be hypos right?

The second one almost looks like a lower quality redstripe or something, but I could be wrong. For sure a hypo on the other. I'm no expert or anything...just a thought!

looking at the second one last evening while i fed her, she really looks like she have stripes.. anyway.. been checking a bit the available clutch i could get from those... and not too sure what kind of male i should try to get for them to breed.... u guys got any suggestions??? atm i only have 1 Male RAPTOR, female- 1 mack snow , 1 tangerine albino and those 2...

I wouldn't breed them at all. Pet store geckos have no records of what they came from. They could have hidden hets - one could be het for bell and you might breed it to a Tremper or Rainwater... just leads to a bad genetic pool and unwanted babies. If you want to breed I'd get geckos from a reputable breeder with records of the parents, hatch dates, weights, photos etc. Just my opinion.

allright ill find some1 that wants geckos as pet or maybe just keep them for my 2 sons...and ill stick to breeding my 2 girls and my boys with known genetic :D
have to say that i didnt think about it deeply before asking :p was more curious about their morphs then anything else
