Some custom hides made for customers.

Red hide with a removable top to check on occupants :)

Huge, almost 3 foot long, build for a bearded dragon.

And finally, a build for a ball python hide. All black inside and darker brown outside when it was finished. But I can't find the photo :(

Very nice! I want to make a tall, multi-level hide thing for my croc gecko when he's moved into his larger tank, since he seems to like his current rock hide. You should post a 'How To' sometime. :)

They could look a LOT nicer.. If you coat them in grout (I think that is what I use) then paint them (Like 3 coats) and then clear coat them, they look way better. also if you use more natural shapes. I'm not saying that I am "LizardLandscapes" or "ReptileCreation" But they could definitely be nicer. Yes I know this thread is two months old. (I made both hides in this picture) And I am also not saying that these are fantastic.. But they do look a little more natural. :)

I know they could look a lot more natural. I go with what the customer wants though. If they want it to look like a house with windows and all that, that's what they get :)

Was going to say it's pretty rude to show up in a thread just to say how the OP should have made something better. Who knows what the OP was intending to make, maybe the simple style was the plan. Not everyone has the same view of what makes a great tank setup.

For example, I absolutely LOVE the Mayan style pymamid and the BD ledge. Totally fantastic :main_thumbsup: I've been working on some DIY decorations based on themes, and the mayan-style theme is definitely on my to-make list.

That last BP hide is really interesting, like a cross between nature and modern art. How'd you come up with that design? Is it all one hide, or is there an upper chamber hide through that hole?

Those were my two favorites as well....

The last BP hide was a design someone asked for. They wanted it colored like an anthill and completely black inside to make it more natural, but wanted two holes for entrances/exits. And there is a small ledge around the halfway mark inside for the BP to slither on to :) I thought it turned out well, and so did the customer :)
Thanks for the compliments :) I'll post a picture of my wife's tree trunk with mushrooms that she designed and made.
