Hey folks,

I have some pictures - shown on e.g. Geckos Unlimited before, but I do not want to cheat you.

Some of them looks like the same, but you will see the whole bunch.

They are from this summer where I had problems having the humidbox humid enough, whereas some scales can be seen on them. :)

Hope you enjoy them!

Lovely Afghans!

I wish I had more than one, but my girl is probably my favorite gecko... I'll have to get some updated pics of her... ;)

Sad that neither of you are from Europe as I have 1.1 to much. Or actually 1.0 but I will sell a female as well to give other the possibility to work with them.

And what I will do with them? Breed them, make a trio for my self hopefully and sell the rest to people who cares about what they are.

Thanks for the nice words!!!

I apsolutely love Afghanicus and the crosses from them.

Somebody actually managed to be stupid enough to cross these beauties? :| - See, that is exactly why I only want to sell my babies for people who cares about what they are. Don't misunderstand me, I am not against color morphs, etc. but if you meen crosses as afghanicus x macularius - that is simply wrong in my opinion, and that is something I will never hope any of my babies will be used for.

But of course, people can have their own opinion, this is just mine, and I do not like crossing different (sub)species :) (this was not for a flamebait though, just my opinion, so I hope that I didn't start a discussion of this as I already participated in at least 10 of these :p).

Do you on the other hand have any pictures of crossings? I did not manage to find any.

However your first part is completely right :D:D - And with that said: Nice collection you have (regarding your HP). :)

--------------

But to all of you, thank you very much for your nice words! It is funny that afghanicus gives people that feeling. I have different morphs (enigma, snake eye eclipse, tangerine albinos, R.A.P.T.O.R's etc.) but when I show off all of them people are just stunned when they see my small and beautifull afghanicus. The size, their pattern, their coloration (which the pictures shows really bad I believe)...

I truly hope that I can spread the joy of my geckos this year, and offer some juvies to the European market.

I just heard that it have been necessary to mix macularius and afghanicus to prevent inbreeding. So if it was taken as a attack, it was not, but it is still what I think... I would definately not do it my self unless it would ****** my genetics even more than inbreeding. ;)

So sorry if somebody is doing serious projects with it, but without a purpose I think it is stupid :)

I am speaking of Afghanicus X raptor, afghanicus X enigma, afghanicus X RAINWATER.

I am trying to get a male for some of my females, but the crosses above are very unique and in my opinion strengthen the gene pool and add a unique look to the final outcome.

Doing a cross does not affect the parents who always stay pure, so I see no harm in crossing them one season.

I thought this was a afghnicus influenced eclipse enigma, but it is actually a 66% het raptor enigma from afghanicus X raptor X enigma het raptor
