Some of the fish that I have kept

I was equally passionate(maniac) about fish as I am about reptiles
I had 10 tanks of assorted sizes running when I began to have major problems with my hands and it really made me sad to have to get rid of my fish
I miss them so much
Please excuse the quality of these pics as I has a 2 mp camera at the time-lol

Here are some of the pics that I dug up last night
I wish that I had some of my marine tank but that was pre-computer/web days

I kept 2 Oscars for many years
Although they are a major PIA in many ways(they move EVERYTHING around in their tanks and dig like crazy) their antics are hysterical
I started out with them at around 2 inches and I never fed them live food-I started them on flakes and tetra bits and fed other foods such as krill and pellets as they got older/larger

I fell in love with Parrot Fish(freshwater) a hybrid cross between a Red devil and a Gold Severum-I also kept and bred Gold Severums
Many people do not care for these fish because they are hybrids and some fish producers/breeders actually dye them which is an inhumane and deadly process for fish
Mine were natural colors

I had many fish albums on ImageShack that seem to have been deleted since it was changed over

I am looking for CD"s that i burned but I have already found one that is no good and the computer just won't read it

I am going to try the disk cleaner/repair kit that i have and see if it can repair the small section that seems to be damaged

Thanks for looking

:D

Thanks so very much guys for your kind words

I loved keeping fish and that 50 gal planted tank with the sand substrate was one of my favorite tanks

Oscars are really fantastic fish as anyone that has ever kept one knows

I think that they have to have that winning personality to make us keep doing those massive water changes
Oh and I love how they rearrange their tanks
:main_rolleyes:

I loved keeping cichlids-mostly So. American and the clown loaches are amazing when kept in a group

The parrots were a very controversial fish(being a hybrid) when I first started keeping them
I found them to be a very gentle sweet fish with a personality much like an Oscar
I had some huge ones that grew up from very small babies

Angels-OMG-I love angels

I have to stop now-I miss my tanks a lot

I just found some old pics from 2003
Will post them in a new thread
:D

Well-unfortunately it seems that the only format that my fish pics from 2003 will download in it "wbz" format which are webshot files

I am trying to figure out a way around to download my own pics into a file format that I can use as I please as I no longer have the originals
At least I don't think that I do
I have a cuple of old desktops towers that I need to acess the HD's of and I will work on that

This has become a mission-lol

Also-with WebShots-you have to pay $29.95 to become a premium member to be able to email them a question
This sucks!!

I love the oscars and parrot fish. I grew up with a large female oscar that we had for 7 or 8 years. They have such personality.
The angle fish are beautiful too.

Sorry about the quality of these pics

These are from my tanks that I had set up in my current location

These are no where near all of the fish that i had but until I find the missing pics from here-this is all that i have

I unfortunately do not have any pics from 15 or so years ago of my tanks when I lived in the Chicago Suburbs

I hope that you enjoy the pics and thanks for looking

Those are beautiful fish. How many tanks do you have?
I have to say that my favorite picture is the parrot fish kissing and the goldfish kissing the glass. They are very cute.

Thanks so very much guys

I unfortunately do not keep fish any longer

When I was really going strong-I had 10 or more tanks running and looking back it seems that all I ever did was water changes because I loved BIG fish-lol
