Ok before I am attacked I have looked through several posts and used the search and google. I currently own 1 female leopard gecko. I am not and never will be a breeder. My geckos are purely for the enjoyment of my family and myself. I am also perfectly able to afford gecko vet care and housing as well as time to care for my animals. I guess what Im trying to say is Im not wasting peoples time. I am deff. buying a Crested Gecko as soon as I have an acceptable housing setup and knowledge enough to help it thrive in my home. Now for my questions:
1.- I am aware that these geckos prefer a vertical based enclosure. Im wondering if a Exo- Terra 18x18x24 terrarium would be big enough for a single full grown crestie ????
2.- Like leopards do these geckos only defacate in one area of their enclosure or do the do it wherever the need arises???
3.- As for substrate I see alot of people use dirt or cedar bark is this necessary or can I use slate tile ???
4.- Leo owners leave a small dish of calcium in there enclosures. Is this beneficial for cresties as well????
5.- Can someone please tell me of a good breader that they personally have dealt with and had a good experience with ????

Thank you in advance for any answers.

1. yes plunty of room. will want to use a smaller cage when there smaller though, the gecko mite not be able to find its food in such a big cage.

2. its pretty much were ever they are at teh moment

3. i would use some thing that can hold humidity for your substrate. I don't think tile would be a good option but i could be wrong. as long ass u can keep a 50% humidity with out having to spray the cage down 5 times a day your fine.

4. no need if u feed the crested gecko diet, and dust insects with calcium with out d3

5. pangea is were i got mine from they have a great deal with a full setup and a free gecko, just have to pay shipping
