Hey All,

I am currently in Florida (from ontario canada) but my boyfriend is looking after my geckos. I have an approx. 5-6 month old leo and he was found sleeping belly up, he was also in mid-shed and my boyfriend helped him finish and he let him do anything without any fuss which is very unusual for Blair. Additionally he doesnt seem to be using his back legs and isnt positioning them correctly, he has a bump on his back just past his shoulder blades and wont straighten out his body... he is kept completely separate from my other leos so im not concerned about them but does any one have any idea what could be wrong? He was perfectly fine yesterday at feeding time... I do not have a reptile vet at this time and have told him to call our local reptile store tomorrow and to call my dogs vet to find out if she does reptiles... any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your gecko. It does sound a bit like MBD, but I didn't know the symptoms showed up so suddenly (I'm not familiar with the condition very much).

Sorry I'm no help, but I'm responding in the hopes someone might have some insight for you.

Blair has been sexed as male, which is good and he does have MBD, they said to increase his calcium intake and he should be better within a month, fingers crossed for a full recovery
