Sorry every1, I have a few more questions....

in my set up I have a rock looking hidey hole, should I have something damp in this, even for a young leo?

Mine is about 3 months old I believe, and I wasnt told anything about keeping thier hide moist, but saw it on a few posts.

What sort of thing do you use to keep it moist? (other than water mist lol)

thanks in advance, I know I already asked a million things!

i put a paper towel folded inside a tupperware box thing. cheap and easy to clean. works like a dream.
your leo should really have 3 hides,
a warm one, a cool one, and the moist one.

I also use paper towels in tupperware container, since I house my geckos in a rack set up I only use 1 hide and I keep it on the warm side. If you use the tupperware idea I would put that on the warm side and the other hide you have on the cool side.

I keep 3 in mine. I have the humid ( small tuperware bowl ) and a dry hide on the warm side and a small rock hide on the cool side. I used paper towel in the humidity hide until mine were about a year old then I switched to bed-a-beast. It works well for all but one male, who likes to eat anything I put in there.

Yes you need a humid hide for them but it doesn't have to be there main hiding spot.

In my tank i have a cave in the middle and a humid hide (that is a Tupperware) which i fold up a tissue and place the Tupperware on top. I spray the top of the Tupperware in the inside and keep the tissue moist by spraying it once a day.My humid hide is on the cool side and i have a plant on the warm side.

I was told to put his cave hide half on the heat pad half off, and that was it!

moist one no problem tohugh, plenty kitchen towel and tuperwares pots in this house! SO will sort that out right away, thanks

Young leopard geckos don't grow at all. So they don't need to shed.

...

Of course they need a humid hide, to help them shed.
