After an unsuccessful preliminary forum search I have a question.
Does anyone know of any tried and true methods of sterilizing Spanish Moss? If not, any general guidelines to follow?
When my parents were in Louisiana last month they decided to harvest some Spanish Moss from trees on my grandparents' property to bring back to me to use in my crested gecko terrarium.
Though I would like to use it, I'm obviously concerned about any chemical or biological contaminants that may be present.
Would rinsing the moss, and baking it be sufficient?
