After MANY discussions with my husband....I have agreed to try and find a suitable home for our special needs gecko. Orbie was one of our last hatchlings this year and due to an incubater glitch ( we think), he was born with a deformed front foot. He was hatched on 8/29 ( he was 1 gram at hatching) and only weighs in at 12 grams. I do not want to ship him so I am hoping for a local ( INdiana,Kentucky) home. I would be willing to meet someone. He does not eat large amounts but he eats 2Xdaily.He eats small mealies and waxies. He does not seem to like crickets. He gets around very well. He is able to climb on his rocks and his coconut. He sheds with no problems. He is a dark tang. His mother was a HTCT and his father was a mack snow. He would need to live in a tank by himself as he would not be able to compete for food. He is used to being handled and quite sweet in nature. I would prefer an experienced owner only because he is small and the vet said that he may remain on the small side. He also shouldn't be bred.

I have decided to just keep little Orbie. He will need alot of attention for the rest of his life and it would break my heart if something happened to him. My husband finally agreed that it would be easier on both of us if he just remained a member of the family.

I am a noobie but have done tons of research and I live in central Kentucky. I'm looking for a small tame baby for a pet only, will never be bred. If you ever decide to place him, I would be happy to have him, and as a stay at home adult mom with grown kids, I can provide all the attention and special needs he needs. Just an option for you.
