Spending time in each hide??(New Leopard Gecko Owner)

[Tank the Leopard Gecko]

hello guys i bought my first leopard gecko about a week or two ago, hes doing great eating very well, he lets me pick him up but hes still alittle skiddish but thats okay its only been a week or two. he has a cool hide with moist hide and a warm hide (10 gallon) and my question is that he often spends about a equal amount of time in each of the hides is that good sign or a bad one?

also he has this log hide which has like one hole facing out of the log that i have noticed he likes to lay on it his upperbody is on it and the other half he just leaves hanging and sleep is this normal and heres the pictures of him his name is Tank for obvious reason lol
