I'm a college student that has a great summer job. I work for my aunt in her office, doing data entry and making payments for the university. I've worked here for the last two summers and everyone here really seems to like me. And they're all awesome. Well anyway, the joke in the office is that they look forward to me showing up for the summer because I spice things up. For instance, I locked my keys in my car one morning; I ran out of gas on my way to the gas station at lunch; etc. They love it, and I love being able to laugh about my little misfortunes with them. It's fun.
But today I took 'spicing up the office' to a whole new level. On my way to lunch I got rearended. I was driving down the road, and happened to be thinking about the last time I got in an accident (backed out of a parking spot at the same time as another person, no damage) and about how bad that feeling is, especially as soon as you hear that thump noise. So I proceed to turn in to the turn lane, and the turn signal is yellow, I go the the line and it was red so I stopped. THUMP! The lady behind hit me. Great! I got out and looked at my car, no damage. I looked at her car and I was pretty smashed up. The bumper was hanging off and the front fiberglass was all cracked up. I looked at her and she said 'I thought you were going through the light.' I just shook my head, what was I supposed to say to that? So I got back in my car, please keep in mind we're on a two lane highway-ish type road, about to turn onto main street. Not the ideal place to exchange info. So we make the turn and I pull into the first parking lot after the turn. She drives on! Thanks. What nerve. At least have the balls to stop and apologize! GRRRRR!
But needless to say I spiced up the office yet again!
