I picked up Spyro today, he is my first bearded dragon. They had him on sand *wince* and were feeding him mealworm :main_thumbsdown:, they also didn't have any uvb set up, I think he is a little skinny because they were only feeding him a few mealworms a day. The first thing I did was give him a good soak, he looks so dull and I can't figure out if it's from the sand or he might be about to shed. I also got him set up with reptisun 10.0 bulb. He seems very stressed, I put a bowl of very small dubia nymphs in an escape proof glass dish. Here are some pics of his set up and him soaking :)

he looks a little on the small side but not too bad. that looks like shed too. he might be picky about eating until he's done shedding cause they get crazy itchy ofcourse, plus relocation stress. but other than that CONGRATS ON THE BABY ^.^

He ate 3 small crickets and 4 small dubia nymphs, but then walked away so I didn't push it. I am going to pick up his greens in the morning, the whole getting him set up process took longer than I thought. >.<. I have some of the juvenile pellets by rep-cal, I don't plan on using these other than maybe mixing them with greens but I figured they would do for tonight.

we get ours those soft yellow squash and mix in some apples and carrots. she even likes cilantro better than most greens. if he doesnt pick up on the greens first try other veggies :)
