Squawking + Odd Movement

I hear my 1 year old leo squawk sometimes, but I actually saw him do it for the first time today. It was really weird - he sort of bent his body in a C-shape with his head at an angle, then lifted his tail up higher than I've ever seen it before, then made the noise. I've read that the noise is normal, but the movement almost made it look as though he was in pain or something. Has anyone else seen the squawk accompanied with a weird motion like this?

By "C shape" do you mean arching his back like a cat does?

Most likely just cleaning himself. I actually had it occur multiple times (the noise and the position) tonight as males cleaned themselves after pairing.

I agree. Keep an eye to make sure it isn't a painful movement or anything, but Leos at times will clean themselves kind of like a dog or cat does. I have one little female that tends to "talk" more than all my other LGs combined. She is a chatterbox with me. haha

You could always try to video it and add it to the Forum if it seems like something is off about it. :)

Alright, will do! He is my first (and only) leopard gecko, so I have nothing to compare his behaviors to and it just looked odd lol. If I can catch it again, I will take a video.
