Nice! I can't tell how much bedding you're putting in their though....I can see what appears to be the bottom of the container in all the pics. Are those the 12" drawers?

Wow Joey, that's really awesome! I can't believe you already have that many pupae! Lol

Congrats and Goodluck!

Thankyou! I order 1k mealies about every month from Flukers and a lot of them turn into Pupae and beatles so I though why not waste them?

Thanks! I have about an 1/2 inch of bedding on the bottom. They are in tubs stacked on top of each other.

They will eventually turn into Beatles and I check the tubs every day. Just a little more food until I move them to the beetle tub. Also the Pupae don't move around as much, it's just easier.

Yeah, you really don't need any bedding for the pupae. Though if you can't separate the beetles in a timely fashion, they will need to eat something (which could be other pupae). If a 1/2 inch is working good for you, then I guess keep it. I do at least an inch though. When you get a lot, they will eat through that bedding pretty fast.

I use to keep mine on oats, back in Feb. That container was reduced to pretty much 90% powder and probably nutritionally void of everything they need.

I have found that even an inch is going pretty fast too, but I have probably 1k in an 8" drawer.

Yeah I am going to add an inch. The reason I have 1/2 inch now is because I only have about 100 mealworms in it. But the ones I ordered should come today.
