A guy at my work found this bug on his car, I didn't know that we had anything like this in MASS.

I also found what looked like a miniature Praying Mantus at my house recently but didn't get a picture of it :(

Anybody know exactly what species this bug is?

Cool bug!
I find them at the lodge all the time. One specimen I found was enormous. Guestomately I'd have to say he was at least eight inches. I've seen only one praying mantis there as well. I used to catch them all the time as a kid but habitat destruction has dwindled there numbers big time.

All I know is it's a stick bug....LOL...can't tell you what type. I've got one in my bug collection that would scare the pants off of you!

Speaking of unusual bug finds, about 2 weeks ago I was leaving work at night and found a huge praying mantis in the parking lot. The length was from about the base of my palm to the middle knuckle of my middle finger. It was very cool. I was able to catch it and show it to my co-worker who'd never even heard of one before...he was quite impressed by it, but screamed and jumped like a girl when it started to walk on him! LOL

We have a pair of stick bugs that are ALWAYS mating on our back porch... I think they're the only bugs to have sex for pleasure... lol
