Ok so Bonnie has been in her box 3 days striaght..non stop digging!! I did check her vent area last night and no signs of prolapse or straining.

How long is too long? Im not really seeing any signs of egg binding....meaning none of the things I have read about what to look for.

I don't know if Im just being impatient or if she really is having issues...how long is too long?:main_huh::main_huh:

SHE DID IT!!!!!

Came home today and found this!!! All tucked away in the incubator!!! Bonnie is sleepy...and has lost more weight then i expected...Im going to leave a few wax worms in a clear container for her over night. Could I ask some questions of my breeder friends??

I weighed her tonight she is 47grams she started off at 59grams is this typical weight loss for a laying period...seems like a lot to me!

Is it smart to do Gecko Soup to help fatten up between lays???

IIs it typical for her to get her appetite back??? She hasn't eatten in over a week maybe almost 2weeks. I wish she ate superworms...I need to fatten her up!!

Also when is the best time to candle these two eggs to see if they are fertile..how long should I wait...1.5weeks or longer??

Thanks guys for the help through this process!

Roger I actually tried that...she wouldn't touch the pinky, have a friend who owns a store and he gave me a newborn pinky. She didn't even show interest. I did weight her last night and she is 60grams!!! Now she is close to laying again but her tail is nice and fat again!!
Here is a question tho.

is it normal for a female to guzzle water after laying? I noticed she did this the first night after laying. just curious

Mel, some of the girls we had in the past enjoyed pinkies right after laying, but the group I have now is scared of them. Yours don't care for superworms but might take a freshly shed one. all white and it looks like a big mealworm. Their weight is going to be up and down during this time, that's normal. When she's in the mood to eat, let her have all she wants. Sometimes they go off food and cause us to worry but remember, she is experiencing some discomfort during all this, like any pregnant girl :) Try and relax :)

Im relaxed Im relaxed LOL:main_laugh: This whole process is wild! She's coming off food again..hasn't showed interest for a couple days now..and I checked her belly tonight she's almost ready..but what is amazing is she is Ovulating right now as well!! She had her two eggs and then a pink spot right in the middle...I should get a picture for you guys!! She hasn't showed too much interest in her box..but tonight she just wants to be out of her cage with me...settled in on the couch after work and she comes walking out of her hide and just stares out at me..so I put my hand in and she climbs up on my arm! And now she's hanging out with me on the couch!! :sweetheart:

I just love my little girl!!! Clyde really doesn't like to sit with me!!!!
