You should seperate them for about 2 weeks and then introduce her to him (in his cage). I had the opposite problem, female wouldn't let the male mate with her. I did what I mentioned above and she let do his thing without fussing.

Oh yeah, did you cool them before introducing them?

How long has it been since you first introduced? I agree that it may be best to seperate and reintroduce in a few weeks.

You shouldn't freak out so much about him not getting to business. I had a "shy" male that I never saw tail-shake or mate ... but he obviously still got the job done. Unless you sit there 24/7, you'll never be able to know what they're up to the whole time.

I know its a long shot but are you sure that your male is in fact a male? Or if your female is for sure ovulating? We have had many geckos look like male but are actually female so it might fit the part. Our males automatically shake their tails when even close to a female. Just a thought...

If it doesn't work after the separation then I would just try to be patient and wait until next spring. Even though you cooled them, you did it during the summer and they may not have been cooled enough. Your house naturally cools in the winter and the geckos should notice this, that will be their true cooling period. If they don't breed in the spring then I would say one of the two just doesn't want to be mated.

Also another thought, breeding season is technically over. Your geckos might not be "in season" therefore they aren't breeding. I have been breeding geckos for 2 years now so I would not say that I'm an experienced breeder. But I still cannot turn over a female and tell if she is ovulating. So I question whether or not your female is actually ovulating.
