Still shaking!! LOL

I decided to take George out for some pics since it's really nice out and the shade from the trees is covering the grass. Well I took him and my DSLR out and took some pics, just the two of us. Someone remind me not to do that again without a second person with me!! Every time I went to touch him I got a facefull of wide open pissed off snake!!! His attitude was more like, "You've let me come out here and I don't want to go back in that stupid tub, I like you but you touch me again, I'm biting your face off!".

After banging on the back door for my son to open the door while trying not to get bit, I get him back downstairs and into his tub, only to find out, "Daminit, I forgot to put the memory chip into the camera!" :main_angry:

So this time, I have my son help me with carrying the camera and opening the door and holding my lenses. I carry George upstairs and outside while he's still in his 32qrt tub, and manage to get some pics, but none as good as the first set that I can't get off the camera!! :main_no:

Yes I really am still shaking!! I've not been bit by any reptile bigger than a young ball python and I'm not looking forward to the day it WILL happen. :bigcry: Definitely got my adrenalin pumping.

Thank you, he's a Pastel Salmon. I'm guessing about 4.5', I don't plan on trying to measure him. His temperment is very cage agressive but once out he's usually pretty good, unless you take him out when it's nice and he wants to try to makea break for it!! LOL

And you're right to be leary. Boas have longer teeth than pythons so when you get tagged IT SUCKS!! Watch for slow tail wagging. If you see that, they mean business.

They are tough to get back in to their enclosures, no matter what. I've told people its like trying to put an octopus in a jumpsuit.

Thank you. I think only the last pic stays on the camera when the memory card is in there so I'm going to try to get that to move to the card, but will have to read the maual. lol

I'm learning they are very different than the balls for sure!! I even have a hard time getting some of the smaller ones to go back in their tubs. No sooner do I think I have the head in it's up and inbetween the tubs above it!! LOL

he's beautiful, my mom wont let me keep snakes, but in a few years when i'm old enough to move out i'm going straight to the pet store and getting one of these beauties

Try picking one up from a breeder instead, less headaches in the long run and I'm sure you'll be much happier with it. :main_thumbsup:
