Well, I don't believe they should have a smell, at least that you can smell from a distance. Many times a bad smell is a sign of some sort of infection. Have you taken him to the vet?

You are probably smelling the poo. and if it smells that bad it probably has parasites. I would take a fecal in to the vet and keep it away from your other gecko and make sure you wash your hands after handling it.

That's a good point. Are you smelling your gecko itself, or the tank?

Good news i think i was smelling the poo. I took him out of his tank and i smelt him. He didn't smell like anything and my dad smelled him and said the same. I washed out the tank and cleaned it and put new paper towel in.Then i went and smelled his tank without him in it and it smelt bad. Now he is up in his clean tank and there is no smell anymore!:main_cool3: :)

I was going to say a leo in a dirty enclosure can start to smell bad itself. I spot clean every day and I do a total cage clean out once a month.
