stool sample

i finally collected a sample from my male that hasnt been eating in forever by forcefeeding but he doesnt seem sick at all so im confused on why he wont eat, anyway i was wondering if theres anyone of here that i could send it to that would know what to look for? thanks

Most vets (including those who don’t specialize in reptiles) can perform a fecal test for you.

You need to take the sample to a vet for tesing. Make sure the stool sample is fresh (less than 24hrs) and not dried out. You can put the sample in an air-tight bag and put in the fridge (not necessary if weather is cold).

oh man, it was already dried out when i found it :( does that mean no go??

I would go ahead and take it in anyway, unless a fresher fecal sample is produced by your gecko, before you take the older one to the vet.

I think its no use if its completely dried out...maybe you should wait for a fresher sample.
