Ok the story starts out like this. I had two eggs left before my move and one hatched. It was a normal size Albino(Bell). The other egg was moldy and sunk in. I did not think it was alive and I just put the cup on my desk next to the baby rack. Well about 4 days later when I was packing the room to move back to Ohio I grabbed the cup got mad at myself for not taking care of it the day the other hatched. Opened it up to dump the molded egg out and what do I see one of the smallest hatchlings I have ever seen.
This baby was actually under a gram. .8 grams!!!! I thought there is no way it will make it. I got the smallest mealies I could. Bought pin heads just for him. And slowly but surely he has gained and is looking great!! He is 7.6 grams at 2 months and 2 weeks of age. Here is his most recent pic at 6.5 grams
Moral of the story never give up on an egg or a hatchling. This little fighter showed me nature never quits. He will forever have a home here now and be spoiled with food and maybe even one day breed. I am not sure if I will ever breed him though lol
.8 grams to almost 8 grams. That is amazing in my eyes.
