I didn't think this was a mack, although I did wish it was at some point, it's still interesting to see weird things like this..lol

there's like a bright greenish yellow, that can be seen right above the grey areas..

Beautiful gecko!

I've seen the same coloration on a few Mack Snows before and it makes for a gorgeous animal...

A couple of the Mack Snows het Blizzard I produced last year show it very well...

Sorry for the nasty pic, but it's the best I have that truly shows his color...

Did you hatch her? If you did then you'd know if she was or wasn't because they hatch out black and white... I really couldn't say one way or the other, but I haven't seen Mack Snow sibs or Mack Pastels with that color...

hatchling

yeah, I hatched her, and oddly enough I cannot find a single pic that i can match up with her...

it's so bizarre...i have been keeping track of all my geckos' progress....but I cannot find a baby pic that seems to be of her...

I think i'm going to hold on to her anyway, because she is different than some of my other geckos here (a reasoning that will get me into trouble i'm sure..lol), and I have hatched a few with varying shades of gray and little color that aren't macks, so this could be an interesting project...
(more thinking that will get me into trouble...or at least get me wishing i had more space..lol)

thanks for your input..
actually, I don't recall ANY babies hatching as B&W only, even one that I am pretty sure is a mack snow...see attached pics below....
waddya think..?

btw, that additional gecko shown below is from same father , different mother (striped mom)

Gecko in first post looks like a mack to me... That first band having a divide through it is pretty common in macks. So is a "cross" pattern where both body bands are divided.

thanks for the feedback,

i searched and found a baby pic of the bottom gecko, 'suspect' mack, yellow and black when born , see below..

actually this doesn't disappoint me, i like the pattern, and will try to breed him to a symmetrically patterned female to see if i can continue to make funky shapes...

thanks again!

it's ok, lol

lol, wasn't much of a bubble there to burst, i was going over this with a few people for a little while, until i could actually find the baby pic to match up to it...most of the babies i hatched came out black and yellow, with the exception of the eclipses or albinos...

I have only had 2 that hatched black and white...i am keeping an eye on them...

thanks-
Duane
