Hi Guys

I just wanted your opinion on this picture.

It’s a pic of one of my young females; she’s come into sexual maturity in the last few months. I noticed that she’s developed this strange white area.

She’s not sick or anything like that, she eats well and defecates fine. She’s also never been with a male so shouldn’t be eggs, not that I’ve ever seen eggs look like this though lol. I’ve not noticed anything like this with any geckos I’ve worked with and just wondered what you thought.

Thanks

It does look like an egg, but too far back in her abdomen. :/
I would say fat build up on her organs maybe? I don't know, if you're concerned a Vet visit would be best.

Nice nails :) I'm pretty certain that it is a follicle ( structures that contain eggs) in more advanced stages. As Leo's ovulate, pink follicles will be visible through their abdomen, they look like the tip of a pencil eraser and grow in diameter each day. If the eggs are not fertilized within a certain time window, the follicle turns into a white, globular mass that will be absorbed by the body gradually.
