Alright so we all know geckos like to eat things like mealworms, waxworms, crickets, roaches, spiders etc (the normal stuff). Is there anything that you feed yours occasionally that might be surprising or fun?? (not baby mice either)

Phoenix worms, Butter worms, Horn worms, Super worms, Silk worms...... I would not worry too much about what is "fun" but more about what is ideal for the animals health.

I catch WC bugs occasionally when they're "in season" and that means that anything the chameleons can't have because it's too small (the chameleons are in the 400+ gram range and 2' long) goes to the geckos. So stuff like small locusts, katydids, mantis, and anything in the grasshopper family. The variety is definitely fun for them. I usually break one of the knees on the grasshopper-type bugs so they can't jump as well, so the AFTs have fun chasing them around the vivarium but they are more catchable than they would be if they could still jump properly.

Locusts and things with wings get tong-fed, or no one would ever be able to catch them.
