My male gecko is in a 10 gallon tank (I wish I could put him in a bigger tank) and i have two big hides in there for him. His 3-in-1 hide he uses as a litter box and will not sleep in it no matter if I clean it and put it on the warm side. I gave him another hide I had for my other gecko thats sits up against the glass and you can see him on the other side. I covered the glass so you can't see him and he used to sleep back in there, but now he doesn't. He will sleep right outside of it on the tile. On the inside all i have is a paper towel so the tile isn't too slippery for him to sleep on. I thought maybe it was the temperature, but it's regulated to the temperature everyone has theirs ranged at. I can't figure it out.... should I just try another, smaller hide? (the hide he has gives him plenty of room). He does sleep in it only sometimes though. What should I do? :main_huh:

If he isn't acting weird, or looks ill or anything of the sort, I wouldn't worry about it.
Some gecko's favorite sleeping spots are almost completely upside down on top of the hide.
I guess it just depends.
I'm not a gecko expert, but I'm sure they don't know that those nice expensive things we buy for them are for sleeping instead of pottying in. :p
