strange sounding question

with the paper towels on the floor of your cage, do u use one layer?or fold it to make it thicker?

i know this sounds a bit stupid but heres my thinking:

1 layer - floor to hard on geckos feet?

folded - hiding places for crickets?


then again maybe geckos dopnt mind hardness cos of where they live? any help appreciated.

I personally dont use paper towels but I would say that it didn't matter

i use a couple of layers of newspapers and yes crickets do get under it but when my gecko is going after other crickets they come up adn he gets them then

lol no madder what you do crickets still manage to hide.

i have tile and they still manage to hide underneath that.

thanks. is it oksy to use newspaper? or can the ink be toxic when heated or wotever?

I use a couple layers of papertowels and its true crickets will find a hiding place anywhere!

Im pretty sure newspaper is just as safe.

well before i got my first leopard gecko like 2 weeks ago i read the care sheet on golden gate and it said paper towels and newspaper is the best substrate to use
