Has anyone else had this problem and still had the package delivered or do you think the hub didn't even ship it?
I am soo stressed out that I woke up today at 5 am to check the tracking number to see if it even changed, but no luck:( :main_angry:

omg that sux. call ups right away...they should have to give back your $50 for shipping (i mean you payed $30 extra for overnight, shouldn't you get overnight?)...and they might be able to give you a refund of sorts for the animal you possibly killed...if its dead.
so sorry, that sux for you and the customer.

UPDATE:
I called the hubb were I shipped them from and they denied any wrong doing. They said they shipped them and that they couldnt do anything about it because I printed the label myself. I was so pissed at this moment and she has an attitude!! She finally gave me a 1800 number to call and the nice lady was very helpful and did a tracking on it and a few minutes later she called back and tolled me that the geckos were never shipped and that they were still at the HUBB. (oh wait before she called back she asked what was in the package-geckos :p I said) The nice represenative called the manager of the hubb and tolled her the situation and what was in the box. Lady then tolled me that the manager at the place separated the box from the rest of the others and that she opened it to see if they were still alive. Thankfully they were and she added a new cold pack and put them in a new box( I dont know if she added the insulation lining :( ) She also mentioned that the manager said they were "cute".
The problem was that "I" didn't make it to the hubb in time for the UPS truck to come pick them up. I got there at 3:24 and the truck soposobly comes at 4PM. If I knew they were going to pick them up that early I would of took them at the proper time.
Now do you think they should refund the money back ($67) because its pretty much like if I payed for UPS second day air!!Or that it was my fault? I dont know I feel that they should of at least tolled me the truck had come when I left the package, its not like it was a huge store that they don't know whats going on at the place(as big as a Starbucks store)

I think if it was their mistake...yes.
You should get a refund of the difference.
$67 for overnight
(lets say) $28 for second day
thats $39 refund...
i would have made them pay at least all $67 if they died cause then it would be their fault and there would be nothing to ship.
but just try to work out some kind of a deal.

PS. thats the input from someone who was born and raised in a "cheap" family...saving is the way to go!

Ok Just got the REAL deal.
After I was done calling everyone I realized that I didnt ask if there was going to be a new tracking number, so I called the hubb were I dropped them off and I got the REAL deal. The lady was like what are you talking about"shocked because she never even talked to the representative. She called the UPS people and they said that the package was picked up from the Hubb and taken to the Main one here in merced. the people at the main hubb screwed up and didnt send it with the other packages. They blamed it on me that the package was late because of my fault, but if that was true then all the packages from the hubb I dropped it off at would of been also.
Long story short the lady at the Hubb I dropped it off at gave me all the details and said I can file a claim tomorrow once the package is delivered saying that they shipped it late. So yeah I might get the money back, but I am hoping for the geckos to arrive ALIVE.:main_thumbsup:

Yes, having the geckos arrive safe and sound is W-A-Y more important than getting a refund for shipping.

One thing we must all remember is, that as shippers it it OUR responsibility to get the package to the UPS/FedEx to the drop-off location on time for it to make the plane for Next Day Air service. If the UPS driver comes earlier than the posted pick-up time, then it is UPS's fault, and a refund would be in order. None of the shippers will allow you to file a claim until after the package has actually been delivered.

When we send our animals through these carriers, we are certainly at their mercy to get them there on time, and ALIVE.

Thanks Marcia, I know we depend on them and I think I should of used repster instead of UPS and I would of saved $16 LOL, but I might of had the same problem as Malorie and Matt are having...Bad luck these days. The package is out for dilivery right now so I will have to wait and see how they made it.

Thanks, I was so glad to hear they were ok. She did mention they were a bit jumpy, but otherwise ok. It would of sucked so hard if anything bad happened to them because those geckos I sent out were very nice.
Thanks again,
Edgar
