What are the gene stripe's genetics? I found a bold stripe mack snow female for sale, and I have a super snow male. I have heard that it might be line bred. Does it have genetics like recessive, dominant, codominant, or is it line bred?

Some people say its Co-dominate others say its a line bred trait. I personally think its line bred. To get better bolder stripes you have to line breed. Im sure someone has a good reason to them being co-dominate if you ask or wait for the right person to respond.:)

Subject to debate, I have been working with bold stripes for MANY years. I think that 'stripe' and 'bold' are two separate traits. In the case of GGG bold stripes, they are selectively bred, or line-bred. The Mack Snow gene is co-dominant (NOT dominate). It is entirely possible for a co-dominant genetic trait and a line bred trait to create beautiful striped, and even bold striped, Mack Snows.
