Stripes and Spots

My leopard gecko is two years old, so I guess he's pretty much an adult now. But he still has hatchling stripes on his lower half.

I'm just wondering what might have caused this. Is it just a development defect of some kind? Or does it have to do with morph? He is just a normal morph, right? Or am I totally off base and his colouring will mature a bit more?

I thought so. I guess I'm just wondering why. Especially because his parents are spotted and their stripes are almost indistinguishable.

the stripes still might fade a bit more over time. some normal leopard geckos retain their stripes more than others. personally, i like the stripes.

I like 'em too. I didn't know they can still change colours after reaching maturity.
