Well, I hav no pictures because I didn't want to disrupt the pair...both first timers. lol.

Matt and I have an enigma female we got from Kelli. She has been ovulating for quite some time now....she just hasn't liked ANY of the males I put in with her...lol. I tried a BB....he chased her for an hour in cirles. lol. I tried a tang...well...he was a bit too crazy and took a massive chunk out of our poor baby girl's tail. :main_angry: She was NOT happy with that and I was thinking.. "GREAT! Now she's never going to breed!" Well, one last attempt with a male we were going to sell did the trick. He's a patternless redstripe male from Dan L. What a gorgeous gecko he is! So, he was so funny because it was his first time and he didn't know what way to go and how to keep her from moving. lol. He was biting her but really gently. He was so sweet to her and I thought she deserved to be treated nicely for once by a male... Anywho..It's been about 4 days since I bred them....I can't wait to see those eggs and babies!!!!!!!! OOOOO! I'm so excited for our first enigma hatchlings!!!!!! :main_yes: :2thumbsup: :cowboy: :grin3:     :party3: :party2: :rolleyes3: :rolleyes5: :smiley2:  :smitten: :sunny: :sweetheart: :wink3:

That is really exciting! I think watching first time males is hilarious. They try to breed with every part of the females body, except where they are supposed to. But they say practice makes perfect. HaHa. I can't wait to see the enigma hatchlings you two produce!

haha! Yeah, he was trying to breed her face mostly.... ah! lol

But her tail is ok. It hasn't healed yet. I've put neosporin on it and it's nice and healthy looking redish-pink. It should scab over in a few days.

And yes, we are keeping the male now. lol.

LOL that's too funny! Just the other day I noticed one of our males getting ready to copulate, and he was facing the completely opposite direction, biting her tail instead of her head lol she didn't seem to mind though ;)

Good to know the tail will be just fine, I'm sure it will heal nicely :smitten:

Reminds me of a couple I put together....male was super aggressive, leaving skin rips while attempting to mate. His dream girl was, in another terrarium, ripping tails off of other females she was kept with. I finally figured this out when I caught her with one in her mouth! So, *poof* just like magic it was love at first sight and they lived happily ever after with their skins and tails intact! ;)
