Stuck shed in eye or..?

My little boy Odin seems to have something in his eye and I'm not completely sure what it is and I'm getting a bit concerned. He acts completely normal (is eating like a champ and growing like a weed) and the thing doesn't seem to be bothering him (he isn't licking at his eye and it does not appear to be irritated). At first I thought it may be some shed that didn't come out completely. I've flushed his eyes multiple times with a sterile saline solution and have gently daubed at it with a q-tip. He has since gone through another shed and it is still there. I had initially thought after this most recent shed that it was gone but then it became noticeable once again. Any ideas? Oh, and it is only in his right eye.

One of my males has a similar issue. He started with crusty eyes, which was diagnosed by the vet as a vitamin A deficiency. He was treated for that and within 1-2 weeks after treatment he developed a similar spot like that on his eye. He's still eating and everything else has been in order, so I haven't gone back.

Have you considered the vet? If you do, please post the outcome. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Yes, I have considered the vet and will take him soon if there is no improvement. I am monitoring him closely. Thank you for responding. His eyes were never crusty or anything, it just developed after one of his sheds...I will up the vitamin intake a bit and see if that helps. Thank you again :)
