Stuck SHED LEOPARD GECKO skin came off!!!!!

My leopard gecko's tail's skin came off yesterday! I was very surprised! The inner part looks bloody is it going to heal?

I have a ten gallon with two hides, one moist, one hot. The hot side is around90f. Cool side80 f. I feed him or her 3 mealies one day, 6 crickets the other. Dusted with repitivite and national geographic calcium with d3 and plain calcium 6 times a week. The gecko's cage is heated by zoo med heat mat. Stays on all day. The little guy always have trouble with shedding. The substrate now is reptile carpet. I am going to change the carpet to paper towel. It is eating alright and pooping all good. I am going to change the whole terrarium into an bioactive tank in the next several months. Can anyone help me with this?? I am so afraid I am going to loose my best friend... It is behaving normal.

I would suggest changing to a 20 gallon tank for better temp variation. The moist hide needs to be really moist. You can use paper towels in the moist hide, but it needs to be sprayed every day. Also, maybe putting in a real wood log hide/hut. It is rough, and it will help when it needs something rough to rub on, to help remove the shed.

I would try and keep the tank extra clean. Use only paper towels. I have no experience with a bioactive tank, so I can't help with that, sorry.

how long does it take to heal?

Depends on the area, usually a week. If no improvement after a week, I would suggest a visit to the vet.
