STUPID CATS! (Please Help)

Alright,
So for Christmas, my dad got my little sister a kitten. This dang kitten has caused me trouble with my reptiles ever since he came home. He always gets ontop of enclosures and claws at the screens.
Today, I came home from school, and one of my cages is demolished. The screen broken in, cage is all messed up, etc.
My poor little Shadow (Blizzard) is gone. I put this enclosure up high so the kitten couldn't get to him, but somehow he found a way. This is at least a 5 foot drop or more for my little Shadow.
:(
I've read all of the guides to finding Leo's, especially H.J.'s. I'd rather just find Shadow ASAP instead of letting the Kitten run around the house and let him find Shadow.
I've looked in all possible places, under chairs and sofas, under desks, small spaces, everywhere.
I just want to find him before the kitten does.
Shadow is one of my favorite Leo's, and I don't want to lose him.
The kitten is currently out in the garage, but it gets too cold outside still at night and we'll have to bring him in sometime or later.
I'm just scared I will find him clawed up by the cat.
Please Help.

I know this isn't what you want to hear. But if the kitten got inside the tank..don't you think its a possibility that he may have already got the gecko?

Yes, it is of course.
But do I want to think that happend? Do I want to ruin all my hopes of finding him?
I think not.

Also, if he would have gotten Shadow, I would have found a body somewhere. This is a little kitten, trying to eat my biggest gecko I have. He wouldn't have eaten him anyways, just scratched until there was no more movement.

If it gets too cold at night to leave the kitten outside perhaps it would be possible to leave the cat inside a bathroom with the door shut until you can find Shadow. I would also keep the door shut to the room which Shadow was let out in, double check some of the spaces you've already checked in the evening where Shadow would more than likely be moving around. Personally, I would take some of the hides out and put them all around the room and check often. That's all I can really think of and most of it is probably on the other "finding" topics, but good luck on finding Shadow.
My old cat would find things to 'play' with also but as you said most are never eaten so there is still a really good chance you will find him hiding out somewhere safe.

Thanks for the encouragement, Akayana.
Good idea, but I can't shut the door to our office, because there is no door. It's like an archway things, doorway, with no door.
If we had a door, there'd be no problems with the dang cats.
I sure wish I did though.

Oh I see, do you happen to have a baby gate or even an old cardboard box you could prop up in front of the doorway as a makeshift door? Even a tacked up sheet over the door might help deter the cats from entering.

I have big pieces of cardboard around all my tanks, protecting them from the cat already.
He just decides to jump over or get ontop of whatever is blocking him.

Put foil around the rims of your cages. Cats are afraid of foil

perhaps avoidance training might work, Any time the cat goes near a tank make a loud noise, shout and run at the cat and scare it away from the tank. After a few of these he'll learn tanks = scary noise. It's worth a try I'd think.

Yes, I've done that since we brought him home.
I've tried loud noises and squirting with a water bottle.

Found him. He was underneath a shelf right next to his enclosure.
I could have sworn that was the first place I looked when I got home.
