stupid ceramic heater; 2 UTH question

hey,

the CHE i bought two weeks ago has already stopped working. i'd rather not use one at all if i can avoid it. i have a UTH at the moment but it isn't quite warm enough. i'm wondering if anyone uses one UTH on the bottom and one UTH on the back, but same side, of their tank? i have a 25 gallon tank.

i use only one uth per tank and use ceramic lights, red lights and the blue moonlights to supplement additional heat. i have never had an issue with ceramics and they are supposed to last 5 years. i think for ambient temperature its best to have a uth and a light or infrared heat source in addition
