Stupid flexwatt!!!!!

alright my flex watt came in the mail today, plug and play, well I plugged it in to the thermostat and it only got up to 90 Degree, so I then took the thermostat off, and now it only gets up to 93.8.....aren't these things suppossed to get up to 110 wide open?????

You have to measure the surface of the tape. Not the air temperature above it.

Yeah mine gets plenty hot. mabey put a tub ontop, give it a while then check the tub surface temps? Also make sure the connections are tight.

Run it full power for atleast a few hours to break it in. What diameter tape and what is the watt rating per foot?

yeah it took a while to get up to speed, I looked all over online, and couldn't find anyting about it taking that long......

My next dilema is.......

NOW it seems to be working too well, I bought a rheostat before I got it, but it's not going down low enough.....

can any one recomend a reasonably priced device that will allow me to program an actual temperature into it?> I think thats what I need

Oh, I'm running 20 ft of 11,' 20watt flexwatt

Well a prewired Johnson or Ranco will let you set an actually temp.

Or you can use a ESU for $30 that has I dial.
